Breast Contouring

  • Breast Augmentation

The key to achieving a natural look is by choosing the right size implant, proper incision location, and proper implant placement. Dr. Sameer understands that every patient is unique, and the procedure needs to be individualized to the patient’s wishes.

  • Anaesthesia & Stay

The inframammary approach for breast augmentation usually takes an hour under general anaesthesia. The transaxillary endoscopic approach takes about 2 hours. The procedure is done as daycare.

  • Procedure

Breast implant surgery involves creation of a pocket beneath the breast tissue (sub glandular / sub fascial) or pectoralis major muscle (sub muscular) with subsequent placement of a silicone implant. Dr. Sameer believes that a gentle, meticulous surgical technique allows his patients to recover within days of surgery.

  • Post op Recovery

Precise placement of the implants with minimal tissue trauma results in minimal bruising and swelling, & a much quicker recovery. You’ll be up and around in 24 to 48 hours. Most of your discomfort can be controlled by medication prescribed by us.

  • Brand New You !

The most important benefit of breast augmentation is what it provides for women emotionally and psychologically. It can be difficult to love your body when you are unhappy with its appearance. By enhancing their breasts, many women feel that they have enhanced their confidence as well. Boosting your self-esteem can make you happier and more outgoing, affecting other areas of your life.

  • Breast Lift With Implants (Aug.Mastopexy)

Breast augmentation, also known as mammoplasty, is a surgical enhancement procedure to accentuate the size and shape of a woman's breasts. Breast augmentation makes breasts larger, but the surgery will not move breasts closer together or lift sagging breasts. Breast augmentation with lift or an Augmentation Mastopexy, is an excellent way for patients to get larger breasts that are natural, youthful and pleasantly perky..

  • Anaesthesia & Stay

A breast lift with implants might take 3-4 hours and is carried out under general anaesthesia. An overnight hospital stay is advised.

  • Procedure

A breast lift is designed to remove excess skin, rearrange internal breast tissue and relocate the nipple structure to create a more youthful looking breast. If the areola has become enlarged and stretched, it can be reduced during the lift procedure. Placing a breast implant involves creating a pocket for the implant (usually under the chest muscle), placing the implant and closing the incision

  • Post-op Recovery

After your procedure, you’ll wear an elastic compression bra over surgical dressings. Some bruising and discomfort in the breast area is normal. Any pain and discomfort you feel can be relieved with medications prescribed. Healing is gradual. You should be up and about in a day or two. You can fly back after 7-10 days & return to work within a few days (depending on what you do). Patients are asked to avoid heavy lifting or vigorous physical activity for 6 weeks after surgery to maximize results.

  • Brand New You !

A breast lift raises and reshapes the breasts, the implants add volume which results in a firmer and more uplifted appearance helping a woman achieve the youthful Breast Contour she has always desired; for years to come. A mom makeover planned along with tummy tuck for body contouring can further do wonders to ones body and self image post pregnancy.

  • Breast Lift ( Mastopexy)

Breast drooping can significantly impact the appearance of your breasts, and it is almost impossible to prevent it from occurring. Sagging breasts occur when the breast tissue becomes weak, which can be the result of pregnancy, weight loss, or aging. Women with breast ptosis may feel that they appear aged and lack confidence in their body. Breast lift or Mastopexy surgery is designed to restore perkiness, fullness, and shape to sagging breasts.

  • Anaesthesia & Stay

A mastopexy approximately takes 3-4 hours and is carried out under general anaesthesia. An overnight hospital stay might be required.

  • Procedure

A breast lift uses internal sutures to lift and support the breast tissue. The goal of a breast lift is to reduce sagging, which is achieved by repositioning the breast tissue & tightening the loose skin envelope, so it sits above the inframammary line. This process creates breasts that have a perkier projection, with a firmer feel and appearance. During your breast lift surgery, your areolas can be reduced to a more proportional size & positioned to have a more aesthetically pleasing projection.

  • Post-op Recovery

After your breast lift, your breasts may feel sore at first, and tight or stretched. As swelling decreases, your new look will become gradually more noticeable. You could plan to fly back home after 7-10 days following the procedure. Your final results should be visible by about 6 months after surgery, with younger-looking breasts that appear perkier, feel firmer, and that have centered, forward-pointing nipples.

  • Brand New You !

Although a breast lift cannot stop the aging process, it can help you not only improve the position of your breasts, but restore the fuller, shapelier appearance that you desire for years to come. A mom makeover planned along with VASER Lipo and a tummy tuck for body contouring can go a long way in getting back to “good shape”.

  • Nipple Aerola Reduction

More beautiful nipples mean ,more beautiful breasts. Many women suffer from nipple abnormalities. Some of these abnormalities may affect breast function, while all of them impact the way people feel about their body. It is important to realize that nipple problems are usually benign (not harmful) and not related to a medical condition. However, tenderness, swelling, lumps, inflammation, skin changes and discharge can also occur, and these symptoms may need further medical attention to determine whether other tests need to be performed.

The ones with the following characteristics are concerned:

  • Asymmetric nipples / areola: Caused by breast surgery or the natural aging process that changes the shape of the breast and the location of the nipple; or nipples with uneven lines.
  • Inverted nipples: A lack of tissue that shows as an indented appearance of the areola.
  • Enlarged / “puffy” areolas: put a cone-like cap on the breasts that some people find unattractive. The areola size may appear too large or long for the rest of the breast.
  • Anaesthesia & Stay

The procedures for correction of the nipple areola complex are done under local anaesthesia.

  • Treatment Of Inverted Nipples

Through a small incision at the base of the nipple, gentle spreading of the fibers is performed within the nipple (these fibers are what pulls the nipple inward) with care being taken to preserve the milk ducts. Once the nipple is free and in an outward, normal position, special sutures (stitches) are placed inside the nipple which add stability and strength to the base of the nipple and help retain its outward projection. The sutures are dissolvable and do not need to be removed.

  • Asymmetry Correction / Areola Reduction

A sliver of the of the pigmented areola is excised, either by an incision around the outside of the areola or by an incision around the base of the nipple. Very large areolas may require a lollypop-shaped closure. This is where a vertical incision runs down from the nipple as well as around the areola and then is closed in the shape of a lollypop. The goal is to minimize scarring and this is achieved by performing the smallest incision necessary.

  • Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mastopexy, can dramatically reshape breasts that are too large or disproportionate. By reducing the size and weight of the breast, symptoms such as neck and back pain can be alleviated. This procedure can also reduce skin discomfort and irritation from beneath the breast and bra straps. Overlarge breasts can also result in severe overall disproportion in a woman’s body.

Women may also consider breast reduction surgery if current breast size causes breathing difficulties, poor posture or interference with normal daily activities and exercise.

  • Anaesthesia & Stay

A breast reduction procedure might take 3-4 hours and is carried out under general anaesthesia. An overnight hospital stay is advised.

  • Procedure

There are many different techniques employed for a breast reduction procedure and therefore the procedures are customised based on the size of the breast & position of the nipple. Dr.Sameer prefers to use the vertical short-scar technique in most of the cases. In addition to reducing the size of the breast, this technique allows for re-positioning of the nipple, a decreased scar burden, and an excellent aesthetic contour.

  • Post op Recovery

Initial recovery from a breast reduction is approximately 3-5 days, however, some patients opt to take a week off of work. You could plan to fly back home after 7-10 days. Bruising and swelling may be present for 10-14 days. Once cleared by Dr. Sameer, one can usually resume strenuous activity and exercise after 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Brand New You !

It may be 6 months to a year before your breasts settle into their new shape. Of all plastic surgery procedures, breast reduction results in the quickest body-image changes. Patients typically experience extremely high satisfaction with reduced upper body pain, an improved ability to engage in physical activities, and a new appearance with smaller, more youthful looking breasts and clothes will fit you better.

A breast reduction / breast lift can be a part of a planned mom makeover along with VASER Lipo and a tummy tuck for body contouring.

  • Corrective Breast Surgery

The overwhelming majority of women who undergo breast augmentation surgery do extremely well after surgery and enjoy the benefits of the surgery for many years. However there are circumstances where women who have previously had breast augmentation surgery have issues that require additional corrective breast surgery. Corrective breast surgery or breast revision surgery is intended to correct a problem that has arisen from a previous breast surgery. Usually, this surgery is desired to correct a complication or problem arising from an earlier breast augmentation surgery.

Some common complications that can be addressed with corrective breast surgery include:

  • Capsular contracture (internal scar tissue causes your breasts to harden and distort after surgery), wherein the scar tissue might be excised, when the implant is reinserted into the pocket.
  • Ruptures (deflation of saline implants and other implant tears or leaks)
  • ) Improper implant placement (too low, too high or too close together)
  • Wrong size implants (the implants you have now are smaller than the ones you really wanted, or, maybe they are just too large to be comfortable).
  • Double bubble and symmastia deformities (poorly defined breast folds)
  • Bottoming out (implants settling too low in the breast pocket)
  • Rippling (visible or obviously palpable implants)
  • Breast asymmetry (uneven breasts)
  • Anaesthesia & Stay

Corrective or revisional breast surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The length of the procedure may vary from 1-3 hours depending on the exact procedure that needs to be performed.

  • Post op Recovery

Postoperative discomfort is usually controlled with oral medications. A soft bra is usually worn for at least several weeks postoperatively. You can fly back home after 7-10 days following the surgery. Light activity may be resumed in 7 to 10 days.Sports activities may be resumed in 6 weeks.
